With the 2016 autumn production “Classic Circus” brought to us by DAS ZELT, the directors Nadine Imboden and Nadja Hauser will once again showcase their talents. The public showed their appreciation at the premiere on 29 June in Winterthur with a prolonged standing ovation for the stunning circus extravaganza.
The 48-strong symphony orchestra from Winterthur College of Music will perform “circus ring-free” across Switzerland from autumn 2016 in the “Classic Circus” brought to us by DAS ZELT. The long-established ensemble will accompany the artists and dancers in a full-length programme with well-known classical pieces by composers from Beethoven to Mozart via Bach.
The highly-respected Winterthur Orchestra will provide a subtle accompaniment to the varied programme of acts performed by the circus groups. The whole production bears the unmistakable directorial hallmark of Nadine Imboden and Nadja Hauser. It is no wonder that the spectators are happy to be transported into a magical world where classical music and circus arts combine.
