Volkswagen at Home in China
As they say, after the show is before the show. On this particular occasion, Nadine Imboden and her team were specially honoured for their creative work and how it was realised. But first things first: this time, the Volkswagen Group evening she staged in Peking, one day before the launch of China’s biggest auto show, went under the motto “Volkswagen at Home in China”.
This time, Nadine Imboden had searched for and found the dancers for the big event in the USA. With thirty dance tracks, she staged three thematic blocks. In cooperation with the Chinese designer Irene Lu, Nadine Imboden also produced the matching costumes. The ninety outfits were tailored to a close fit for the dancers within three days; this could only happen in China. The different props that are needed for such a huge show were developed by Nadine Imboden in cooperation with German and Swiss partners.
The special award after the show
The concept, music and styling went down so well with the public and the experts that it was even echoed in the USA: the show concept was adopted there, namely by the makers of the live TV show “America’s Got Talent”. So the top-class dancers celebrated a great success under the name “Chapkis” in front of an audience of millions.
